Paula Andrade

Comic book author, writer and illustrator based in Buenos Aires. One of the current voices in the Argentinian comic book scene, Paula plays with supernatural and mythological elements to showcase human emotions and relationships. A social animal, she also teaches and holds workshops on digital art, making comics and publishing, and organizes talks and events that promote the diversity of comic book’s authors, contents and styles.

Some of her books are: Corvax Stigmata (published in Argentina, Brazil and Italy), Oveja Negra, Pornipulpis and Rakas, (the product of three artist residencies in Finland); and her illustrations have been showcased internationally and published in books such as SuperState (Z2), Project Superpowers: Fractured States (Dynamite), Frank Miller’s Xerxes #1 (Dark Horse) and American Monsters Pt1(Fox Spirit Books)

She’s also the founder of Gutter Glitter, a small press publishing house based on Buenos Aires.
